A very special highlight of this package is the daily cruise in three beloved Saronic islands giving you a rough impression of Greek island life and filling you with marvellous images at a time of year when Greece is not overflown with summer crowds.

Day 1, Arrival in Athens Upon your arrival in Athens, our English speaking driver will welcome you and transfer you downtown Athens at your hotel. Leisure time for the rest of the day to wind down and venture out to the marvellous city of Athens. Head to the old quarter of Plaka, at the foot of the Acropolis, stroll in the cobbled streets filled with shops, all-day coffee shops and restaurants where you can have a nice traditional dinner.

Day 2, Half-day Athens tour Enjoy your breakfast and then you will be picked up for your Sightseeing Tour in Athens. You will be shown around the most important attractions in Athens by your English speaking guide. The busy Syntagma Square, the heroic Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and of course, the Acropolis, are all included in this tour. Have your lunch at a Greek taverna and then you will be transferred by coach to the majestic Cape Sounion, to visit the Temple of Poseidon. From up the hill where the temple is located you will admire the most impressive views of the sea. Return at the hotel early evening and leisure time at your disposal.

Day 3, Classical Tour - Corinth / Epidaurus Today you will have an early breakfast before you check out and be picked up to depart for your 4-day classical tour in Peloponnese and Greek Mainland. We will drive to Corinth and our English speaking tour guide will give you all details about the Corinth canal. Next, we set off to Epidaurus, for a visit to the exquisite amphitheatre where plays put on even nowadays due to its excellent acoustics. You will have your lunch at the coast of Nafplion and you will have some time to stroll around this beautiful town. Then we are off to Olympia via Megalopolis and Tripolis. Overnight stay in Olympia, while dinner has been arranged to be taken at a local restaurant.

Day 4, Classical Tour - Olympia / Delphi
After breakfast you will take a tour at the ancient Olympia site, in a unique natural environment surrounded by green hills and trees. Don’t miss paying a visit at the museum with the exquisite exhibits. Then you will head to Patras and then drive across the longest bridge in Europe connecting Peloponnese with the mainland. You will have your lunch in Nafpaktos and then head to Delphi, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5, Classical Tour - Delphi / Meteora Relish a delicious breakfast, check out and get ready to visit one of the most renowned archaeological sites in the world. Delphi was home of the Oracle and is referred to as the “navel of the world” and one of the most sacred sites worldwide. The town is surrounded by Mount Parnassos creating an imposing scenery. After visitng the museum as well you will set off for Kalambaka, via Amfissa, Lamia and Trikala. Once in Kalambaka, a beautiful town surrounded by impressive mountains, you will have your dinner and check into your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6, Classical Tour - Back to Athens Today after breakfast you will visit Meteora, imposing mountainous bulks with monasteries perched on top of them. The monasteries are still inhabited today and we will pay a visit. You will have lunch and then depart for Athens via the historical town of Thermopylae and Kammena Vourla. Upon arrival in Athens, check in at your hotel and the evening is ahead of you for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7, Daily Saronic Islands Cruise Have your breakfast and then you will be taken to the port to depart for your daily cruise at the Saronic Islands ideally close to Athens. The cruise includes a visit at Aegina, Poros and Hydra, which are particularly charming with their unique features. Poros which is just off the Peloponnese, separated by a narrow straight is a verdant island and can be perfectly seen from the boat. Hydra is a magnificent island with great architecture and quaint port ideal for romantic walks. Aegina, in contrast to Poros, is the largest of the Saronic Islands and the one which is closest to Athens, standing out for its nice monuments and sights. The islands can be visited in different order than mentioned here and you will have the chance to visit their main towns. Once we get back to the port you will be driven to the hotel. The evening is ahead of you to enjoy a wonderful dinner or a night out in Athens.

Day 8, Out and about Athens This is a free day and you have the chance to explore Athens at your own pace. You can go back to Athens for a walk at the pedestrian archaeological zone of the Acropolis, where you can catch up to the sights you have missed or visit the National Archaeological Museum. You can go on a shopping spree at the Omonia or Ermou shopping areas, or at Plaka for some souvenir and jewellery shopping. In the evening an Athens by Night Tour has been arranged for you. You will be driven to the ports and marinas around the city via the wide boulevards of Athens. The tour ends with a traditional dinner at Plaka and a floor show and then you will be taken to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9, Travelling back homeFinal day of your holidays in Greece and the Greek Islands and after breakfast you check out of the hotel and get transferred to the airport by your English speaking driver for your flight back home.
