We wanted to express to you what a wonderful time we had on our recent honeymoon through Athens, Crete, Santorini, and Mikonos (14/Apr-29/Apr).
Though we were sad to leave, we had the vacation of our lifetime and have photos and memories of beautiful landscapes and hotels, with wonderful experiences with locals and very accommodating hotel staff alike.
We were particularly pleased with the efforts of our agent, Anthony Alagiah, who went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. He was thorough in providing a selection of different plans that would fit our budget, and he continued to work with us to tweak those plans to our satisfaction. The timing of the pick-ups and transports allowed us to travel with ease and comfort, and we were offered a variety of fascinating guided tour options. When we expressed dissatisfaction with one of our hotels during our final stay in Mikonos, Anthony responded immediately and managed to switch us to a wonderful hotel and a much better situation within an hour of receiving our email. This timely and professional reaction on Anthony's part really perfected the end of our trip, and we couldn't be more grateful. Don't hesitate to recommend that to anyone...the setting, the rooms, and the staff...the staff was incredibly good...5 stars...I don't know how they could have been better. I had received quotes and corresponded with approximately 8 Greek travel agencies before deciding to go with Antelope Travel.
The two largest, and best known, agencies kept trying to force us into one of their package deals, and whenever we asked a specific question, told us to just look at their website. They certainly were not customer oriented. You were always there to answer all our questions and put together the exact type of vacation that we wanted. You never pressured us and gave us time to think things out and sometimes ask the same question more than once. You were always polite and informative, quick to respond, and happy to do business with us. I would definitely have you plan another trip for me in the future.

We have now settled back into our normal life in wintry Melbourne but wishing that we were still lying on the beach in warm and sunny Naxos.
A big thank you to you for planning our tour of Greece and the Islands.
The itinerary that you organised was perfect and you included everything that was on our wish list. We were met on time by courteous drivers and local tour Agents at each location and felt very welcome and comfortable throughout the entire holiday.
The Athenian Callirhoe hotel in Athens was perfectly situated within walking distance of the Acropolis and Plaka. The Hotel was very comfortable with tastefully decorated modern rooms, a great view of the city and Acropolis from the rooftop terrace and a sumptuous breakfast.
Our 4 day Classical Tour of mainland Greece was great, we especially enjoyed the Meteora Monasteries and even though it was raining the mist gave the whole area a mystical and ethereal quality. The accommodation provided for this tour was excellent and buffet breakfast and dinner included was an added bonus. Your choice of Islands was perfect , each one offering very different experiences.
Mykonos was bustling and busy with waterfront cafes and narrow winding streets through quaint villages. The Mykonos Bay Hotel was in a great position ,away from, but within easy walking distance of, the town and on a sandy cove with excellent swimming beach. Santorini was spectacular and you chose exactly the right accommodation . The Ira Hotel was intimate and in an excellent position on the Caldera. The walk from the Hotel to town along the Caldera was one of the most beautiful we have seen. Our room had a spectacular view of the volcano and the owners Kiki and Manos were warm, welcoming and accommodating.
And last of all gorgeous Naxos. The perfect place to rest and unwind before returning home. The newly built Aegean Palace Hotel is just 50 meters from a beautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear blue water plus the hotel has a huge swimming pool and recreational facilities all within manicured lawns and flower beds. Every aspect of our holiday was planned meticulously from transfers, to ferries, to flights and hotels. The whole trip was worry and stress free and excellent value. We appreciated that you were available for contact at all times should we have encountered any difficulties and we appreciated your personal contact with us on our arrival in Athens. We will certainly recommend your agency to our friends and of course avail ourselves of your services whenever we return to Greece.

Everything was just perfect!!! I am sorry that we didn't get to meet you in Athens. We enjoyed Athens immensely and the room upgrade was terrific. Every pick-up was on time and the drivers were very friendly, helpful and polite. We were very happy with our hotels and their locations. Paros was a dream come true. Although it was a fair way from the main town, we loved the hotel, beach and seclusion. We really re-charged our batteries at Paros. Also we met up with Josh & his wife (young American couple). They pretty much did the same trip as us and you organised them as well. They also were very happy with everything. The islands were even above expectation in their beauty and scenery. Thank you very much for organising this trip for us. It was the most stress-free time of our trip.

I don't know how to thank you for setting up the tour with Dimitris for our travels around Athens. He is outstanding. Extremely well spoken and while traveling provided great conversation about the history of Athens and its independence. It was wonderful to hear the story from such a proud patriot as we passed by some of the lesser known landmarks on our way to the monumental locations.
I would heartily recommend Dimitris as your number 1 go to man for any English speaking travelers.
He was delightful, intelligent, and very effective at navigating through the city, and made sure all of our needs were addressed. His ability to change direction based on his clients choices was just another reason why we had chosen to take the private tour instead of the bus. Dimitris did not fail in pleasing both of us during our time together.
Additionally - Your assistance at Spondi was sparkling. They seated us at the premiere table where we were the first to make our appearance for the evening. As a result, the 8PM reservation was absolutely perfect. We were fawned over by the wait staff and Sommelier. His recommendations for wine selections to go with the meal was perfect, and by his own recommendation, saved us money while assuring the best match for each of the chef's selections.
As wonderful as this was - we were thrilled to find our bill only required us to pay for the wine - I don't know how you pulled of a private tasting menu for us, and maybe I don't want to know. I do know that you managed to make a fabulous trip even more wonderful - and we have a keepsake from Spondi that we will cherish - The private tasting menu designed for us.

We were visiting friends last weekend and fondly remembered all of your VERY FINE travel work for our month-long 2006 summer trip to Greece. We loved all of your arrangements, including the private transfers, Santorini's Xenones Filotera Hotel (stunning!) you suggested, our land tours (most of all the Four Day Classical Tour; wish we could have stayed longer in Meteora), and the extremely flexible and easy emails we exchanged with you from the US during planning. We thank you very much, and recommend you to all of our friends who are thinking of visiting Greece. We often comment on the warmth and kindness of the Greek people, whether they're Athenians, taxi or bus drivers, or a group of gents sitting on the lip of a town-centered fountain.
To anyone considering visiting Naxos, DO make the time! We very much enjoyed the hotel you suggested, the public KTEL bus we jumped on for a day and much more. Not knowing exactly what lay ahead, stayed on until the last top, enjoying the acrobatic ride, incredible scenery, small scenic villages and the bus's end destination of Apollonas. Before we and the driver made the return trip about three hours after arrival, we had thoroughly enjoyed our delightful lunch at a beachside taverna, its shaded sunbeds, wonderful swimming, a vigorous walk up through the town, another cocktail, and more swimming.

You said his name was Paul, so after a few bits of conversation, he said his name was Bill! (Or Vassilis, if I want to really be correct!) He was a real asset and I've included a lovely picture from the airport!
Johns Hotel was great, likewise the Acropolis View. Staff were helpful and friendly. So your arrangements worked very well indeed and we had a relaxing break before the concert in Athens.
I expect you saw some of the press and TV coverage, but even if you don't particularly like her as a singer, she has made such a great effort for the past 50 years, advertising Greece aroung the world. I had a seat in the very front level with the stage.
It was just wonderful, even tho' it was all in Greek, but I'm used to that. She received a medal from the Athens Mayor earilier that day, then the 3 mayors of Athens, Paris and Berlin were in the front row, along with your primeminister Karamanlis!
After the show, I got backstage with a couple of my friends from the UK and she saw me, said hello with kisses and a hug! She really is a wonderful person.

Amy and I have safely returned from our honeymoon in Europe and we just wanted to thank you so much for helping to plan our vacation.
Our time in Greece was so wonderful. The hotels in Athens (Hera), Mykonos (Petasos Beach) and Santorini (Filotera) were perfect for our needs.
Of course, the Petasos Beach resort was our favorite and we took advantage of the spa, pools and close proximity to Platis Gialos. The half-day tour of the Acropolis in Athens was just enough to get a taste of the city.
In addition, we were so glad to have timely transportation arranged for all of our connections.

Our time in Greece was so wonderful. The hotels in Athens (Hera), Mykonos (Petasos Beach) and Santorini (Filotera) were perfect for our needs.
Of course, the Petasos Beach resort was our favorite and we took advantage of the spa, pools and close proximity to Platis Gialos. The half-day tour of the Acropolis in Athens was just enough to get a taste of the city.
In addition, we were so glad to have timely transportation arranged for all of our connections.

I am back in Costa Rica after a wonderfultrip on the Greek islands. Everything went well, according to schedule.
The hotels we stayed at were great, the transfers wetre always on time etc. But the greatest thing about the whole trip was the people. Greeks are one of the kindest people we've ever met. We want to thank you for a wonderful vacation, and be sure we will recommend your services to anybody who plans a trip to Greece.

You were right, we needn't have worried. Both locations (Myconian Abassador and Uranos Traditional Houses) were wonderful, each in their own way.
The Myconian upgraded us to a suite with a private pool, which was more wonderful. While I must admit that I was at first disappointed with Uranos, I quickly came to appreciate the combination of view, location, tranquility, and excellent staff. We both agreed that Uranos was an excellent choice. And we appreciate the Acropolis view room at the Cypria, something which we could never get before.
Even your ferry bookings inspire our appreciation. Whether by luck or by design, our boats were among the few that sailed on September 20 and 24. We met very many people who were stranded by ferry cancellations, but everything went well for us. We both thank you for your recommendations -- we greatly enjoyed our trip and we shall refer back to you for any future trips to Greece. We think Crete may be next, but not for a year or so.

Konstantinos contacted me quickly and, based on our preferences, was able to provide options for hotels and tours in both cities, and transportation between the two. The accomodations were excellent and the tours were great.

We had a wonderful time. Every place was special. Your offices in Mikonos and Santorini were very helpful, the accommodations wonderful, and Crete was a wonderful surprise. I look forward to being able to spend more time there one day and add other islands as well. In hindsight, the only changes I would have made involved timing of portions of the trip so we had more time in Crete and a less demanding return schedule.
(We awoke 4:30 am in Aghios Nicolaos to drive back to Heraklion airport for flight out and with delays in US for our return, we had a 29 hours of being up and traveling.) We look forward to doing it again and seeing more of your wonderful country and enjoying the hospitality.

Thank you very much for all your work. The hotel selections were wonderful. I don't know what they were thinking about the hotel on Crete when the reviewers said it was bad.
That was the nicest one. The only trouble we had was with the flight I booked from London to Athens and back through Easy Jet. I would steer away from them. Athenian Air was wonderful, the most comfortable flights and the high speed boat was a great experience. We needed a rental car on Santorini, and got one. They were cheap to rent there. I will get some pictures sent to you later on this week.

Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our trip to Greece. People could not have been nicer and we had ideal weather throughout our journey. Your selection of accomodations provided us with the Greek experience. While the Hotel Avra in Rafina was very nice, it was quite a distance from the airport. You had suggested the hotel right at the airport which would have been convenient, but very expensive for the 8 hours we were in Athens before we had to be back to the airport.
Probably the Holiday Inn or similar a little closer in would have been fine, but I think you put us in Rafina because there was a good view and a town we could visit. In any event, things worked out fine. A few highlights: Meeting you. Meteora was unbelievable. The view of the Acropolis when we exited the Metro coming into Athens. Nick driving us around. Corinth Canal. Ancient Corinth. Delphi. The food. ATV driving in Mykonos.
Everything about Santorini. The view from our hotel in Oia was incredible! The streets in Iraklion, Crete. Knossos. Driving into the mountain villages of Crete. Chania - another spectacular hotel setting. Air and boat trips went perfect. For the women, it had to be the shopping. Shopped everywhere we went. If you need any references, Konstantinos, I would be glad to help out anyway I could.

We are home safe and sound. The trip was great with all the connections and transfers working out well. The only exception was on Mykonos where the taxi took us to the passenger only port to catch the ferry. Fortunately we were early enough and asked around to find out we should have been at the car ferry port to get the right ferry to Naxos. We quickly caught another taxi and made the ferry. The ferry from Santorini to Crete had mechanical problems so we had to stay a day longer in Santorini but your agent phoned us about the problem with the ferry and looked after all the changes necessary so everything went smoothly. The hotels were all good and the breakfasts good but the Sunrise in Santorini only had coffee, juice and toast for breakfast. All the rest had that plus eggs, cheese, meat, fruit and yoghurt. However the hotel itself was fine and close to the town centre. I would certainly recommend your company to any of our friends who were planning a Greek holiday. Thanks for all your help.

We are back from Greece and I would just like to thank you so very much for everything. The Hotels that you provided us with, were great as well as all the other arrangements like the Ferry tickets and directions on how to get to the hotels etc. We really enjoyed it a lot. All the hotels were quite impressive and up to standard except for Hotel Ibiscus. We could see that they were renovating, so I am sure that it will be sorted out anyway. Hotel sunrise, pireaus dream and allassia were very impressive. Thanks again and I have already told people about your great service and will keep on doing that! Hope to maybe do some travelling-business with you again in the future!

Hi there, Our trip to Greece and the islands was wonderful. Thanks again for everything. I just wish we could have stayed longer especially in Santorini and Athens. I loved the city and didn't have enough time to explore. The coach tour was great and I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Greece. Unfortunately for me the driver of our bus crushed the frame of my suitcase forcing it into the mini bus. Other than that the holiday was perfect. I hope you have a great summer and anyone needing a travel agency in Greece I will refer to you.
